Islamic Scholarship (Foundation)
Duration: 6 years | Part Time (Enquire for 3 years full time option)
This course delivers a Foundation Diploma in Islamic Studies and classical Arabic over the course of 3 years under the supervision of Shaykh MA Karim, Dr SC Nasrullah & Mufti Sabir Hussain. With this course now being delivered online the exceptional opportunity to learn Islamic studies at an advanced level has been made possible for many.
An in-depth study of Qur’an Tafseer will run throughout years 1-3, this is a unique element of Jamia Almaarif’s Alim(a) Programme which delivers the Qur’an explanation in full.
This is providing the student with a complete translation, explanation and understanding of themes, commands and laws within the Qur’an. Later into the course students will study Qur’an exegesis (word to word text interpretation) for a deeper meaning into the verses.
Students will be taught the knowledge of analysing hadith as well as reading and memorisation of the Prophetic traditions.
Islamic Jurisprudence will deliver principles of Fiqh, Tenants of Faith & Islamic law.
A complete Prophetic Biography (Al Sirah al- Nabawiyyah) will be delivered followed by The First Islamic Community, The Blessed Wives & Descendants of the Prophet ﷺ and The Rashidun Caliphate.
Arabic grammar & Arabic language will be delivered throughout the course in two separate sessions, these will enable the student to read, translate, analyse and convey Qur’an and Hadith in its original text.
An Advanced Diploma in Islamic Sciences & Traditional Scholarship is available upon successful completion.
